Answers to the questions we hear most, from how matching works to what discretion means at Maxima.
How does the matchmaking process work?
After your application is reviewed, you'll have a personal consultation with a Maxima founder to understand your background, preferences and what you're looking for. From there, our matchmakers search our network and vet candidates before any introduction is made.
Who is Maxima for?
Maxima is built for successful, busy professionals who want an intentional, discreet approach to dating rather than relying on apps or their existing social circle.
How is my privacy protected?
Discretion is central to how we operate. Your information is never shared publicly, and every introduction is made with your explicit consent. Many of our clients hold roles where confidentiality matters, and we treat it accordingly.
How are matches selected?
Every introduction is made personally by a matchmaker, not an algorithm. We consider values, lifestyle, life goals and chemistry-relevant details gathered through our intake process and ongoing conversations with you.
What's the difference between membership tiers?
Complimentary Membership gives you a place in our curated network at no cost, with no obligation to upgrade. Our Private Matchmaking tiers — Signature, Select, Elite and Legacy — differ in the scope of your search (local, national or global), the level of hands-on support you receive, and how directly our founders are involved. You can see a full breakdown on our Membership page.
How long does it take to be matched?
Timelines vary based on your preferences and tier. Because every candidate is personally vetted, we prioritize quality of introductions over speed — most clients meet their first match within the first few weeks.
